Security from the start

Security is not an add-on that is bolted on at the end. Large CMS systems such as WordPress can create a larger attack surface through plugins, themes, user roles and regular updates. That does not mean a CMS is always wrong – but it should only be used when it truly fits the project.

With custom solutions, the technical foundation can be kept deliberately lean: only required functions, protected admin areas, secure forms, clean permission logic, prepared statements, XSS protection and a structure that is easier to inspect and maintain.
